Galveston City Council member Bill Quiroga hospitalized with COVID-19

Galveston City Councilman Bill Quiroga is in the hospital with COVID-19, Mayor Craig Brown confirmed Sunday. Brown said Quiroga's condition is unknown, but that "our prayers and thoughts are with him for a successful recovery and we are looking forward to having him back at Council." The Galveston County Daily News reported that Quiroga, who represents District 4, has been hospitalized for two weeks and is in serious condition.
