Feds investigating more complaints against Carroll schools
The Southlake Carroll school district is facing more investigations over allegations of discrimination based on race, sex and disability.
The U.S. Department of Education Office of Civil Rights is investigating two discrimination complaints filed against the school district.

The Department of Education opened the investigations into the latest complaints on July 11., a spokesperson wrote in an email to the Star-Telegram Thursday. Three other investigations opened in November are ongoing, the spokesperson said.
The spokesperson did not provide further details or comments.
The Carroll school district did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
In February, the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund filed a discrimination complaint with the Education Department’s Office of Civil Rights, alleging that LGBTQ+ and students of color continue to be subjected to racism and harassment.
