Dallas College, UNTHSC, Austin Community College among Texas schools that received hoax bomb threats
Several Texas colleges and universities evacuated campuses after receiving bomb threats — which officials quickly determined to be hoaxes.
Officials evacuated Dallas College’s Richland campus after receiving a bomb threat Thursday afternoon.
Notice of the threat came around 2 p.m. after an unknown caller reported it to the police.
Meanwhile, the University of North Texas Health Science Center at Fort Worth, two Austin Community College campuses and the Alkek Fine Arts Center at Weatherford College, about 29 miles west of Fort Worth, received similar threats at about the same time. Those campuses were also evacuated.

”Evacuate location by foot immediately. Move as far as possible from building(s). Not at site? STAY AWAY for your own safety,” one Dallas College tweet read.
The campus was immediately evacuated, representative Cherie Yurco said. After city and college police investigated, it was determined to be a hoax and an all clear was given just after 3 p.m.
Police did not find any devices at the Austin campuses, Austin Community College officials shared in a tweet. Classes and activities at one of its campuses are canceled for the rest of the day.
