Continuing to distance from VP Harris, Allred plans a low-key appearance at the DNC in Chicago

Allred is set to speak to the Texas delegation, but we are told his team asked that his name not be listed along with other members of Congress, governors, and others

In a move that frustrated some Texas Democrats heading into the DNC next week in Chicago, their US Senate nominee Colin Allred did not appear on the list of speakers set to address the state’s delegation. The complaints went something like this: “Weak and timid.”

But delegates confirmed Friday morning that Allred is indeed planning to speak to them.

So, why wasn’t he listed by the Texas Democratic Party alongside other speakers including governors, members of Congress, locally elected officeholders, etc.?
