People on the Move
Power players starting new ventures, top staffer moves, and more
The first
full week of early voting is nearly complete and rushing to conclusions is the name
of the game in Texas.
It’s safe
to say, though, that Democratic enthusiasm is giving the minority party an edge
not enjoyed in quite some time but Republican field
operations are working overtime to turn out their voters long after any
persuasion efforts have ended.
On the latest
edition of the Quorum Report Radio podcast dropping this evening,
we’ll get into some of that and work to track down the origins of those
mysterious transgender letters sent to voters in recent days. Even political veterans
accustomed to the nastiness of campaigns have expressed frustration this year with
the fact that TV ads, radio commercials, and mail pieces have prompted uncomfortable
questions from their kids about issues surrounding transgender Texans. Follow
the show on Apple Podcasts or Spotify or find it on
whichever podcast app you like best.
Meantime,
to say there are significant moves in the Texas Capitol this week
community is an understatement. It’s another week of power players starting new
ventures, top staff promotions, and more. To make sure the political world in
Texas know about your career news – or someone else’s – send it anytime to ksbraddock@gmail.com and use POTM in the
subject line. Please and thank you.
Here’s the
latest edition.
