Top staffing changes, new lobby ventures, big hires, and more

Great to see so many of you at the Texas House GOP Caucus retreat at Barton Creek this week. Folks seemed to be in a pretty good mood even though the tone of the closed-door meetings was informed by the serious task of defeating Democrats at a time when Republican lawmakers are polling better in their communities than the top of their ticket. In some cases, much better.
