Voters in North Texas suburbs set to decide the fate of transit across a large swath of DFW, potentially sending shockwaves across the system
Cities deal with pressure on multiple fronts: Need for economic development funds and state-imposed constraints on revenue; meantime DART says "We want to work with our cities, not against them”

showdown is shaping up as voters in Farmers Branch, Highland Park, Irving,
and Plano are now set to decide next year whether to pull out of
the Dallas Area Rapid Transit system, alleging a lack of fiscal
transparency and inequitable distribution of funds.
