Inaugural Texas House DOGE committee hearing establishes authority

What brings Representatives Tony Tinderholt and Ana-María Rodríguez Ramos together on issues?

Well more things than you might at first guess but in this case it’s the new Committee on Delivery of Government Efficiency chaired by Rep. Giovanni Capriglione.

The 13-member committee borrows the name from shadow President Elon Musk’s national effort to reduce the federal workforce. But the committee heard from state agencies about what they need, what they could do better, and how stakeholders feel about the current regulatory environment.

The panel is also delving into the Department of Information Resources, the Sunset Advisory Commission and the Texas Space Commission.
