HK: Little noticed Autonomous Vehicle public safety issue as alternative to the high drama culture wars

Interesting bill to be heard in committee about driverless freight trucks

Just thought we should tease this in the midst of all the high drama around manufactured culture and gun wars.

The current status is that there are currently no federal rules, Texas adopted the statutory posture that the state comply with future National Highway and Safety rules when it comes to autonomous vehicles so that we mesh with other states. The statute passed three sessions ago.

Of course, at the time, autonomous driving was more concept than executable practice.
