With ice storm coming, Gov. Abbott retreats from previous guarantee the lights will stay on across Texas

In November, Abbott said "I guarantee the lights will stay on"; during an afternoon news conference today he said "No one can guarantee that there wont be a 'load shed event.'" Multiple journalists made note of this including Mose Buchele at KUT in Austin
