Internal poll shows Abbott with double digit negatives in Fort Bend County
The poll of likely voters focused on the County Judge’s race. One thing the Democratic incumbent has going for him is that Abbott had a net favorability rating of -14 in Fort Bend, where he barely won by less than a point in 2018
A poll of likely voters in
Fort Bend County shows a giant shift in attitudes about Gov. Greg Abbott
in the rapidly growing suburban area and may provide some clues as to how
similar parts of Texas have changed politically in the last four years. Unsurprisingly, it suggests a key issue moving voters away from Abbott is abortion policy. But the degree to which they're moving away from him, in this poll, is notable.
