As wintry weather approaches, ERCOT CEO engages Texans in virtual town halls to talk grid reliability

ERCOT’s decision to focus much of its efforts and resources
on the hot Texas summer months was a mistake made clear by last year’s Winter
Storm Uri, interim CEO Brad Jones said during a Zoom town hall
meeting in Central Texas.
The energy load during the summer has typically been much
higher than the load during winter. So that’s where ERCOT’s efforts went, Jones
said.
But it was wrong.
