A Travis County judge denies Sen. Gutierrez request for DPS records related to Uvalde massacre
Gutierrez plans to appeal, saying “Governor Abbott’s administration is going to every extreme not only to withhold basic information about the Uvalde massacre, but to paint a narrative that absolves the Texas Department of Public Safety of responsibility”
Sen. Roland Gutierrez,
D-San Antonio, plans to appeal after a state district court judge in Travis
County on Wednesday ruled in the Texas Department of Public Safety
doesn’t have to release records related to what actually
happened in Uvalde on the day of the massacre at Robb Elementary
School.
Gutierrez sued trying to get
to the bottom of the response of 91 DPS officers who were on scene along with law
endorsement from other agencies.
