Former Rick Perry appointee emerges as possible GOP candidate for Byron Cook's seat in the House
A race against Thomas McNutt could get ugly, but Dr. Linda Timmerman says “the people who know me know that I’m going to be honest with them”
A
two-time appointee of former Gov. Rick
Perry, Dr. Linda Timmerman,
tells Quorum Report this afternoon that she’s eyeing a run for the Texas
House seat being vacated by retiring State Affairs Committee Chairman
Byron Cook, R-Corsicana.
“I’m
in the consideration stage right now,” Dr. Timmerman said, adding that she
would have a decision in the next day or two as she talks to people in the
area.
