Empower Texans PAC Buys CDs with Dunn $$ to guarantee loans to Patrick and Paxton

A new and creative wrinkle in campaign funding

A casual review of Empower Texans PAC eight day out report revealed what for us at BUZZ Central is a new wrinkle in campaign finance. Not to say that it has never been done, just that we can’t remember having seen this technique.

The PAC reported spending $3.16 million on the runoff campaigns. Considering their engagement in several statewide races, that makes perfect sense.
