Told Republicans in Caucus last night that it would "be his last night on the floor."

In Republican Senate Caucus last night, numerous Senators told QR that Dan Patrick announced that it would be his last night on the floor. It was unclear whether he meant as Senator or at all. This afternoon, press was notified that he would be announcing his 2014 election plans on Thursday.
