HK: A word of caution for opening week
Congressman Kevin Brady tested positive for Covid three weeks after first Pfizer shot
Amid the DC chaos of the
last two days, a “small” story likely escaped notice that has perhaps direct
bearing on Covid and the opening of the legislative
session next week.
Despite months of discussions
and the development of different protocols from the House,
Senate and State Preservation Board combined with a
trickle of vaccinations, there will still be hundreds if not thousands in the Texas
Capitol very soon.
While the traditional
opening day parties in members offices may be curtailed and gatherings around
campus have been curtailed, it is impossible to say they will be eliminated.
