Comptroller Hegar offers optimistic revenue picture at annual TTARA conference

“The Texas economy has undoubtedly benefited by funneling more than $290 billion to local and state governments, businesses and individuals in the state,” Hegar told TTARA members

The Texas economy continues to rebound – with continuing growth in online sales tax – Comptroller Glenn Hegar told a leading business group in Austin.

Hegar, who addressed the Texas Taxpayers and Research Association’s annual conference, said the Texas economy has continued to rebound strongly from the short, but deep, recession brought on by the COVID-19 crisis.
