Now that he has been confirmed
by the US Senate as Director of National Intelligence,
it has been conventional wisdom that Rep John Ratcliffe, R-Heath, would
be replaced on the ballot and that new Republican would be chosen by a local
committee of GOP party bosses to face the Democrat in the race this fall.
But according to a memo that’s been circulated among some Republicans and obtained by
Quorum Report, that may not be so easy.
