People on the Move
Appointments, lobby and agency moves, and “Damn Lobbyist” buttons
Conference committees on
the big bills are getting underway, Second Reading deadline has passed, and it is
Mother’s Day Weekend. Where did this session go? Dates on the calendar now are
red boxes.
It’s a little sad to think
there are only 17 days left but turn that frown upside down because you likely
won’t be stuck in Austin during the summer. Won’t say anything else for now Don’t
want to jinx it.
I’d also expect the POTM
submissions to pick up as we put a bow on the session. Already hearing from
folks who are looking to move on after spending time in this or that office for
the last 5 months. Some goodbyes will be bittersweet and
others will just bring pure joy. Believe me, I get it.
Meantime, there were
appointments, agency moves, awards and some buttons to get rid of.
Anytime you’ve got career
news or need to share something with the Texas Capitol community, send it to ksbraddock@gmail.com and put POTM in the
subject line so it ends up in the right email folder. Thanks a bunch.
Here’s this week’s edition
