People on the Move

A Texas Supreme Court Justice gets a nomination to the federal bench, lobby moves, and Gov. Abbott is putting his imprint on university system boards

Get your bill filed yet?

Pretty funny: Chairman Trey Martinez Fischer told Chairman Drew Springer that when exercising, Springer could actually run faster if he would just have a lobbyist chase him on bill filing deadline day. Some members put signs on their doors that said something as simple as “go away” to something more elaborate like: "We cannot handle any new bills in this office...unles they're of the human variety, in which case...come on in, Bill."

Good luck.

Meantime, Gov. Greg Abbott is leaving his imprint on university system boards this week, some lobby moves are happening along with some agency news. Send your career news to ksbraddock@gmail.com and put POTM in the subject line so I don’t miss it. Thank you.
