After website bashed Dallas Police Association endorsement of Rep. Neave, the cops and candidate strike back

Already bruised after a nasty primary and runoff, Empower Texans-backed challenger Deanna Metzger’s tactics called into question

DALLAS –– The battle for North Texas’ House District 107, the swingiest of DFW’s potential swing seats, was never going to be pretty. In 2016, upstart Democrat Rep. Victoria Neave of Dallas bested then Rep. Kenneth Sheets of Mesquite in a hard-fought campaign for the district spanning Dallas, Garland and Mesquite.

Now, Republicans –– well, some Republicans –– are pushing hard to regain the seat.

But their candidate, Deanna Maria Metzger, has drawn more scrutiny than praise for her campaign tactics.
