Abortion and immigration collide in new debate before federal court
Advocates argue prior cases grant unaccompanied minors health care; Paxton’s office says a decision could grant a right to abortion “for anyone on Earth who entered the United States illegally, no matter how briefly.”

applied to a 17-year-old girl who has come into the country illegally. Advocates

The case will be debated before a federal judge on the
West Coast on Wednesday morning.
Paxton, in a 15-page friend of the court brief filed on
behalf of seven mostly Southern states, asserted such a choice would be a
slippery slope to other rights.
