In farewell message, HHSC Commissioner Traylor promises few tears as he steps down

After news broke late Thursday of the impending retirement of Texas Health and Human Services Executive Commissioner Chris Traylor, the outgoing head of the beleaguered agency on Friday told employees that "There will be no party, no gifts and only a few tears (I had plenty of all of those last year)."

"I intend on quietly slipping away, this time," Traylor said in an email obtained this afternoon by Quorum Report.
